The interview with God

　　I dreamed I had an interview with God ,
　　“So you would like to interview me?” God said
　　“If you have the time .” I said.
　　God smiled
　　“My time is eternity …..what question do you have in mind for me?”
　　“What surprises you most about humankind ?”
　　God answered …
　　“That they get bored with childhood, they rush to grow up and then long to be children again.”
　　“That they lost their health to make money… and then lose their money to restore their health.”
　　“That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present, such that they live in neither the present nor the future.”
　　“That they live as if they will never die, and die as though had never lived.”
　　God’s hand took mine and we were silent for awhile.
　　And then I asked,
　　“As a parent what are some of life’s lessons you want your children to learn?”
　　“To learn they cannot make anyone love them. All they can do is let themselves be loved.”
　　“To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to others.”
　　“To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness .”
　　“To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in those they love, and it can take many years to heal them.”
　　“To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but is one who needs the least.”
　　“To learn that there are people who love them dearly, but simply do not get know to express or show their feelings.”
　　“To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see it differently.”
　　“To learn that it is not enough that they forgive one another, but they must also forgive themselves.”
　　“Thank you for your time,” I said humbly.
　　“Is there anything else you’d like your children to know?”
　　God smiled and said…
　　“Just know that I an here.”
　　“Always.”

 《访问上帝》

我梦见遇到了上帝

 “嗯，你想采访我吗？”上帝问

“如果您有时间的话。”

上帝微笑道

“我的时间是无尽的……在你都有些什么问题呀？”

 “关于人类，什么是让您最感到惊讶呢？”

上帝回答。。。

“那就是他们觉得童年枯燥漫长，急切想长大，成年了却又渴望回到童年”。

 “为了赚钱而牺牲了健康，然后又为了恢复健康花光了钱”。

 “总为未来担忧，忘记活在当下，所以无论在目前或将来似乎都没好好生活”。

 “活着的时候觉得自己好象永远都不会死，死神来临时发现自己仿佛未曾好好活过”。

上帝安抚着我，我们都沉默了会儿。

然后我问：“作为父母，哪些人生的功课是您希望您的孩子们去学习呢？”

  “认识到自己不能够迫使他人去爱自身，所能做的只是让他们自己值得爱”。

 “认识到不要拿自己与别人做比较”。

 “认识到用宽仁之心去宽恕他人”。

 “认识只需要几秒钟就能对他们所爱的人造成深深的伤害，而要抚平它却需要许多年时间”。

 “认识到一个富足的人不是那个拥有最多的人，而是那个需求最少的人”。

“认识到对那些他们深深爱着的人，并不是要做些什么，而是要去表达自己的感激”。

“认识到两个人对同一件事物可以有不同的看法”。

 “认识到宽恕彼此是不够的，他们还必须也学会宽恕自己”。

 “谢谢您花时间告诉我这些”。我谦恭地说。

 “还有其它的什么您想让您的孩子们知道吗？”

上帝微笑着说道。。。

“知道我和你们在一起”。

 “永远”。
